People will view Photoshop Elements 8 differently according to their situation. If you are new to Photoshop Elements, this is a fantastic piece of software for the price. If you already have Elements 7, the new features are not really worth the price of the upgrade. I upgraded from Elements 5 and there are definitely sufficient advances for me to consider it well worth the money.

There is a feature in the organiser,for instance, that will allow the programme to automatically identify photos of the same person once they have been identified in one photo OK, but hardly essential. The new ‘recompose’ feature which allows to to compress onedimension of the picture without distorting essential features could be very useful, but will only work effectively with certain sorts of pictures those without too much detail in the ‘non-essential’ parts.

What would be more impressive is the introduction of features that have been in the full version of Photoshop for quite a long time e. I have used Elements 5 6 8 9 and have found miner faults in all of them but Elements 9 has some serious flaws. Pros: screen clear and easy for those of us with aging sight.
